Under the supervision of ranking officers, police officers protect life and property, enforce criminal and traffic laws and local ordinances, conduct investigations, and perform related work as required.

  • Entry Level Patrol Salary - $66,816.87 (*includes holiday pay) · Top step patrolman salary after three years of
    service - $79,820.52 (*includes holiday pay)

Experience

All applicants must meet the following minimum requirements: Must be 21 years of age by the end of the application period Must possess a valid driver’s license Must be a United States Citizen Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent Must have the ability to speak, read and write the English language Must have the ability to pass a physical examination given by a physician, a physical fitness/agility examination, a written examination, an oral examination, a swim proficiency test, a drug screen, a psychological examination given by a psychological test center, and a comprehensive background investigation
