The highly responsible employee conducts interviews and investigations to collect necessary pre-trial information and evidence for the defense or prosecution of criminal cases; performs collateral duties as required. The work is performed under the direction of the Chief Investigator, but considerable leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgement and initiative.
associates degree and 8 or more years of investigative experience or a bachelors degree with at least 5 years of investigative experience. must hold a current certification from the SC Criminal Justice Academy as a Class 1 Law Enforcement Officer; valid SC Drivers License.
