The Police Department is seeking a dedicated and self-directed Senior Administrative Officer II to join our team in a supportive role. Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Working with the Principal Administrative Officer (PAO) to onboard new employees.
  • Assists with scheduling coordination and data entry of the first report of injury forms.
  • Assists with daily personnel related matters.
  • Maintains confidentiality and assists the Human Resources Liaison with weekly human resource functions.
  • Develops and assists in the development of new methods and procedures for departmental operations.
  • Acts as liaison between the department and other departments, various government agencies, or between the City government and citizens groups and committees.
  • May assist in compiling data for departmental budget; monitor and analyze budget execution; processes and personnel transactions, and departmental records.

Experience

Graduation from a college or university with a bachelor’s degree in public or business administration or a closely related field or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the following knowledge, abilities and skills. Applicants should have experience in dealing directly with the public, strong administration skills. Excellent customer service skills. Solid understanding of database management and spreadsheet software. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Prior experience in payroll, human resources and Munis experience is a plus.
