Job Description

Duties:

• To perform responsible law enforcement and patrol work
• Regulate traffic, protect life and property, and prevent crime and disorder
• Assist at the scene of accidents and other medical emergencies
• Work on rotating shifts, 12 Hour Shifts
• Participate in investigating criminal law violations occurring within the City limits, obtain evidence and compile information regarding these crimes, prepare cases for filing of charges, testify in court, and related activities
• Carries out duties in conformance with Federal, State, County, and City laws and ordinances.

 

 

New Officer Starting Pay (Lateral Pay)

• $55,329.74 - 1 Year Experience
• $62,751.00 – 2+ Years Experience
• $81,303.50 – Top Pay end of contract July 1st, 2026

 

New Officer Starting Pay – 4-year pay scale

• $49,680.48 – Starting Pay
• $81,303.50 – Top Pay end of contract July 1st, 2026
