Duties:

Our 911 center handles calls for the Belleville Police Department, Swansea Police Departments, The Belleville Fire Department, Swansea Fire Department, and Signal Hill Fire Department.
• Graduation from a general or technical high school or equivalent. • Comply with the City of Belleville Residency requirements. • Successful completion of background and drug testing. • Valid Illinois Driver’s License. (Only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than the employee’s mobility is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position) • Successful completion of Basic 80-hour State of Illinois Telecommunicator Training Course or 40-hour Association of Public Safety Communication Officials (APCO) preferred. • Successful completion of Emergency Medical Dispatch certification.
